I turned to FB Marketplace to try and sell my tourer. Sure, it’s on eBay as well, plus some local cycling WhatsApp groups. But how about a marketing spend?
Marketing turns everything into shite, including my tourer bicycle. But for a grubby fiver, let’s see what comes back.
Album of the Day: Bob Marley and the Wailers – Natty Dread
Bob Marley’s Natty Dread is a refreshing departure from the usual hits found on Legend. This doesn’t mean the album is subpar; rather, it showcases the depth of Marley’s back catalogue. Natty Dread is a cohesive and soulful album, featuring a collection of songs that blend together seamlessly.

Some more spring garden chores followed. Out came the garden table. Christ, that’s a beast. I think it’s cast iron. It’s bloody heavy.
It comes out every April, and then hibernates away early October. It kinda describes my own lifestyle.
Insta popped up some memories from twelve months ago. This time last year we were in #peakwisteria. The buds are ready to go this year; they need an extra sun burst to be persuaded to come out.
The lunchtime swim was great. I had a lane all to myself. Fifty power lengths of freestyle followed. I seem to be focussing on one activity at the expense of another. Just as my running fitness improves, I return to the water for a period of time.
The Postman Delivers: a WHOPPING 5TB external drive. It’s almost as compact as my iPhone. I wasted no time in copying over 250+GB of photos from the MacBook Air. It was impressive how fast they went over.
I caught up with some more Forest On and Off the Pitch podcast action. The Jason Lee episode is great. He’s become something of an unlikely hero. He speaks so intelligently on matters relating to equality, diversity and inclusion.
A little window clean took place. Daisy joined me and tried to get on the roof with the attic window open. I almost missed her, but managed to pull her back in time.
To Alresford! …early evening. I had a return to walking football training. It was good fun at our new home. I scored a hat trick and even managed a cheeky MEGS.
Naughty, Jase. Naughty.
I was back at base in time for the second half of the Forest match. THIS club never make it easy. But we wouldn’t want it any other way.
On and off the pitch. I’m starting to believe again.
